Durdle Door

Durdle Door at Dawn

Durdle Door

Well, a cold and early morning to catch sunrise at Durdle Door.

If I hadn’t been so tired, I might have tried to photograph some star trails as the sky was so clear.

Sunset

Well, time to revisit HDR.

Sunset taken at ISO 100, f16, 1/8, with bracketting at -2, 0, +2 exposure compensation (in AV priority, locked manual focus).

Stitched together in qtpfsgui, using the Fattal and Mantiuk algorithms (two separate images). The Mantiuk image was used as the base layer, and the Fattal one overlaid on top. Transparency of the Fattal one modified to make it less surreal.

(30 second exposure on a tripod, and the light flares weren’t added in post-production).

Thames Barrier

This image was taken in 2008, and is the Thames Barrier. It’s taken from the north bank of the Thames in the park.

The nice thing about London is that you can always find something to photograph. Although, be careful what you photograph.
